Seldin Company offers competitive health and retirement benefits packages carefully designed to provide comprehensive support.
We partner with BlueCross BlueShield to administer our medical plan. Seldin offers two plan options, a traditional PPO option and a Qualified High Deductible(QHH) option. We also offer the opportunity to earn a discount on premiums by participating in our wellness program.
Dental and Vision coverage is offered through MetLife. There are 2 dental plans to choose from with both providing 100% coverage on all preventative services. Our vision plan includes exams, lenses, frames and contact lenses with a small co-pay.
A health savings account is offered to those who enroll in the qualified high deductbile plan (QHH). The QHH plan has a higher deductible than the traditional PPO plan, but lower premiums. Once the deductible is met the plan covers 100% of in-network services. H.S.A. seed money is provided by the company to help with the cost of the deductible.
Seldin offers both a medical flexible spending account and a dependent care flexible spending account. This allows you to contribute funds to these accounts on a pre-tax basis. Funds can then be used for eligible medical or dependent care expenses.
All employees are eligible to contribute to the 401(k) plan through Fidelity Investments. Seldin also provides a 100% match on the first 1% of your contribution and a 50% match on contributions from 2%-6%. Employees are 100% vested with the Seldin match after 2 years of employment.
Full-Time Employees: We offer paid time off to all of our Full-Time employees. The amount of PTO is determined by your length of service with the company. In addition to PTO, we offer Full-Time employees 11 paid holidays during the year. Veteran's Day is also given to our employees who are veteran's. A floating holiday is available to all Full-Time employees to use when they choose.
Part-Time Employees:
We offer paid time off to all of our Part-Time employees. As a Part-Time employee you will earn 1 hour of PTO (paid time off) for every 30 hours worked, with a cap of 48 hours per year, accruals start upon hire date.
In addition to PTO, we offer Part-Time employees 11 paid holidays during the year. Part-Time employees receive 4 hours of paid time for each of our observed holidays, and Veterans are paid 4 hours for Veterans Day.
Seldin provides, at no cost to eligible employees, $10,000 of basic life insurance. The opportunity to buy additional coverage is also offered to eligible employees.
Seldin provides a long-term disability policy to all eligible employees at no cost. In the event of an illness or accident which requires a lengthy recovery, you are eligible for a tax-free benefit equal to 60% of your monthly salary.
Seldin will provide up to 3 weeks of paid parental leave to employees following the birth or the placement of a child with an employee in connection with adoption or foster care.
Seldin believes in the importance of volunteerism and will offer 1 day of paid Volunteer Time off per year for qualified employees.

Seldin allows a casual work environment to include wearing jeans. Seldin provides company apparel through our apparel program.
